Food at a wedding in Italy (part 1)
What do you personally associate with a wedding? White dress, nerves, rings, toastmaster, photographer, guests, Banquet, competitions. What if we added the word” Italian “to”wedding”? Will something change? I am sure that for a couple of minutes you will think, and those of you who have seen the famous film “the Godfather” will remember what long scenes Francis Ford Coppola told about the wedding of don Corleone’s daughter.
And there is a logical explanation for this. The Italians have a real cult of food. They talk a lot about food, they don’t hesitate to look into the plates of their neighbors to evaluate the dish, and, obviously, they eat a lot. It would seem that in the Russian tradition, the wedding feast is the most significant part of the budget. But the way they approach the organization of the Banquet and food in Italy, can not be compared with what we are all used to. With each new wedding in Italy, I am more and more imbued with the spirit of” gluttony”, but at the same time each brings new experiences. It is time for you to learn some details about traditional Italian weddings.
Let anyone who thinks about getting married abroad and chooses to do Italy, imagine the scale of opportunities that exist in this country. Sincerely do not recommend reading this article to those who adhere to the diet, nervous and at night.
Francesca and James ‘ wedding took place in June 2014 in Rome. After the Catholic wedding ceremony in one of the churches, the guests and the newlyweds went to a small village a dozen kilometers from the city center to celebrate this day in the shade of a beautiful garden.

Order a wedding Banquet in Italy
My most important question was: what a rich imagination must be a chef to make such a diverse menu.
Menu for a wedding
Yes, in Italy, the menu at the wedding Banquet is the responsibility of the chef, not the newlyweds. The last only choose, if I may say so, the theme of the dinner and to outline wishes, and the chef cooks. The main intrigue is not what dishes will be on the table, but how much they will be delicious: very tasty or very, very tasty.

What do Italians eat?
Fortunately, the Italians are never in a hurry, especially in food. The appetizers lasted three hours. All this while guests ate, talked, took pictures, congratulated young and just having a good time.
There was no hurry, no distraction from the conversation, the time passed, and the food did not become less.

There was an idea to look into the kitchen and see where this tablecloth-Samobranka with endless stocks of shrimp, salami and cheese, but two priorities: to remove the events around and to remove samples from everything that was on the tables, prevailed.
